Database Environment Analysis and Recommendations (DEAR™) Report
DEAR™ Report
The Database Environment Analysis and Recommendations report delivers up to 5 levels of analysis detail and 3 levels of recommendations for path forward. The report is structured in a directory tree format to allow the reader to "drill-down" from the five main analysis categories to detailed parameter and configuration settings.
The five main analysis categories are the PASSD™ categories of:
- Performance
- Availability
- Scalability
- Security
- Disaster recovery
Each category is broken down into six informative subcategories with one or more subsequent subdivisions depending on the DBMS and databases being analyzed, feedback from the client and depth of investigation required to provide a thorough report.
The final DEAR™ Report presentation is intended for all audiences including Executive Management, Operations Management, Developers and Administrators. Recommendations for areas of improvement are presented as Green, Yellow and Red flag results. These results can be used very effectively to prioritize and address database environment items while keeping an eye on the often tight IT budget and timelines.
LockTite Security Audit
The LockTite Security Audit performs a thorough and detailed audit of the security of your Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server databases. Tightly focused on security, critical indicators are audited including Authentication, Access Controls and Network Vulnerabilities. Each indicator is given a score assessment and path to correction.
The final Audit Summary Report is intended for technical audiences including Database, System and Network Administrators.
FastResponse Database Tuning Review
The FastResponse Tuning Review identifies bottlenecks in database performance and SQL execution for applications supported by Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server databases. Working closely with database administrators, application developers and vendors areas of tuning opportunity are identified and addressed to reduce time-to-execute for SQL code and round trip communication time for user requests.
The final FastResponse Database Tuning Review Report is intended primarily for Senior Database Developers and Administrators.
